The 1st of bachillerato students have explored the fascinating world of regional and minority languages. Having found out about some 46 of Europe\u2019s mostly \u2018bigger\u2019 languages last year, this year we have chosen to scratch beneath the surface and explore languages which are not so well known beyond the areas they are spoken in. In some cases the languages she encounters have several dialects, some do not have a standardised written form or can be rendered in different scripts and in several cases the numbers of native speakers are declining. In all cases, however, the languages have a proud tradition and very dedicated and active communities of speakers seeking to ensure that their linguistic heritage is passed on to future generations.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Los alumnos de primero de bachillerato han explorado el fascinante mundo de las lenguas regionales y minoritarias. Tras aprender mucho sobre las 46 lenguas m\u00e1s habladas de Europa el a\u00f1o pasado, este a\u00f1o hemos decidido explorar lenguas menos conocidas para el p\u00fablico general. Estos idiomas tienen algunas peculiaridades: algunos tienen varios dialectos, otros carecen de una forma escrita estandarizada o pueden traducirse en diferentes alfabetos, mientras que, en varios casos, sus n\u00fameros de hablantes nativos est\u00e1n descendiendo. Todas estas lenguas tienen, sin embargo, una gran tradici\u00f3n ling\u00fc\u00edstica en com\u00fan y cuentan con comunidades de hablantes muy dedicadas que intentan garantizar que su patrimonio ling\u00fc\u00edstico se transmita a las pr\u00f3ximas generaciones.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
